Get Your Own Web Hosting
Posted on Dec 19, 2008 under Uncategorized |I know that I’ve talked to a lot of people who eventually want to start their own website, and there are probably many of you out there that would like to have your own site for whatever reason. One of the biggest reasons that these people never really actually start their website is because they don’t know where or how to get started. Maybe you’re wondering the same thing.
Well, besides figuring out what type of website you’d actually like to have and what it’s going to be about, one of the first things that you’re going to need to get is web hosting. Now, even though this may sound a little complicated to some out there, it doesn’t have to be. In fact, you’ll probably end up being surprised by how simple it actually is to get your web hosting set up. And it doesn’t really cost all that much either. It’s usually only about nine or ten dollars per month. And once you have the web hosting set up you can pretty much do whatever you’d like to do with the website.
So, if you’ve been wanting to start up a website of your own, then why not get started sooner rather than later? Just take some time to figure out which web hosting service you’d like to go with and then try it out.

The investigation, prompted by a complaint by the Electronic Privacy Information Center filed last week, will focus on Facebook’s recent update to its privacy policy affecting the public display of private information, and sharing of information with other web sites.

We had a dedicated server before this move, but with the increased load we’ve experienced recently on the Web Page Analyzer we had to add more capacity.

I was wondering how do you make an account that can be credited by customers using all types of different payment methods.

I already have to keep my computer on most the time. cron jobs is not installed in the server I have today. they don’t require that because the administrator thinks it is going to run the servers down and I disagree with that.

They take a bit more of a relaxed, personal approach to their support correspondence - lets you know the person helping you took the time to read your email and write a responce rather than cutting and pasting a generic one.

When your site is ready, you will need to submit your site to the search engines, particularly Google. You can find the Google submission page by clicking on the “About Google” link on Google, and then locating the “Submit your content to Google” link on the page that appears. However, submitting your site to Google alone is, quite frankly, a pointless endeavour.

Would you need a dedicated server for this?

I would like that but how ever, I already have to keep my computer on most the time. cron jobs is not installed in the server I have today. they don’t require that because the administrator thinks it is going to run the servers down and I disagree with that. I want something with cron jobs so I can let my laptop sleep for once and cool down.

I am hosting my site on Hostgator and they seem to be reliable, although a bit more expensive. I think you get what you pay for sometimes…
