There’s an interesting opportunity available to many people that I thought I would make you aware of. Obviously anyone reading this is doing so via some sort of internet connection, be it high speed cable, DSL, or even dial-up. Well, Charter is offering up the fastest internet speed available in your area to someone for life. They aren’t giving it away free though. It’s being offered up auction style to the highest bidder. The bidding will begin on March 12 and starts at $10. In order to participate in this offer and the bidding process, however, you must be in a Charter serviceable area and qualify by zip code. In other words, you have to be able to get Charter services at your house.

Also, by registering with your email address and other information you are entered for a chance to win a Nintendo Wii with all the standard equipment including the Wii Sports game. You don’t have place a bid for the internet service for life in order to be entered to win the Nintendo Wii either. You just have to register. It’s an interesting promotion that they’re putting on and I’m sure there are still plenty of people that want to get their hands on a Wii. So if this interests you…

Charter’s customer service is so bad, you would have to pay me to use their service for life. Ugh!

I wonder what would happen if you move to another suburbs or worst even another state. And what about changes in technologies in the coming years (not even trying to imagine for the rest of my life). I wonder what the real worth of this service would be really. It is an interesting and unique promotion that will give them a lot of publicity however, I guess that the point for them.

I imagine it’s mostly for the publicity, since I’m not sure how it’ll actually work like if you move and things.

This is a good subject to talk about. Sometimes I fav stuff like this on Redit. This article probably won’t do well with that crowd. I’ll take a look around your site though and submit something else.
