Question for the Readers

I was thinking about something the other day, and I thought that I would pose the question to you the readers. If you’ve ever found money or change just lying on the ground, you’ll be able to answer it.

What is the smallest monetary denomination that you would pick up if you found it lying on the ground?

I’m not going to say much more about this because I want to hear what you think. Just leave a comment to this post. This also goes for those of you that are subscribed to the feed. Also if you haven’t yet, now’s the time to go ahead and…

    Quarters and up, lol.

They can be used directly for cash. I don’t mess with any other coins, though. I try to avoid cash in general so I don’t have to deal with pennies, nickels, etc. These things just seem to get lost.

Would definitely pick up a nickel. Pennies depend. Are they gross? Am I busy? Do I want to leave it for a child to discover or someone else who it might make happy?

I would pick up any type of cash as long as it doesn’t require any substantial effort on my part.

i would pick up a penny, only to throw it at a hobo. jokes. seriously though, i think i have picked up a penny before, but not off the ground. i think it was on a counter. and it depends on if there were any other change next to it. like i would pick a penny if there was a dime next to it. and what about change that i’ve dropped? i’ve picked pennies that i’ve dropped. a friend at work said that she would pick up a penny, but only if it was heads-up. then again, she is seriously thinking of filing for bankrupcy. anyway, for me, it’s a case-by-case scenario.

    what say you?
