This is a sponsored post. For those of you in the UK, this post is for you. Dell computers are one of the most recognized brand of computers, and they have excelled at providing excellent laptop computers that are able to be customized however you’d like. Dell also has a website specifically for the UK where you can order these relatively cheap laptops and have it shipped to you directly.
If you’re in the market for a new computer, I would highly recommend a new laptop instead of a desktop. They’re portable and have all the functionality that you can find in a desktop. With everything being on-the-go these days, you’d do well to look into a Dell laptop.

I was thinking about something the other day, and I thought that I would pose the question to you the readers. If you’ve ever found money or change just lying on the ground, you’ll be able to answer it.
What is the smallest monetary denomination that you would pick up if you found it lying on the ground?
I’m not going to say much more about this because I want to hear what you think. Just leave a comment to this post. This also goes for those of you that are subscribed to the feed. Also if you haven’t yet, now’s the time to go ahead and…

For the last couple of weeks I’ve been trying to decide which graduate business schools I would like to attend and therefore apply to. It may seem like a relatively simple decision but there are so many competing factors which make it actually quite difficult.
Of course I’d like to go to the best school possible and have looked over the school rankings many times. Unfortunately, many of the top schools are in places that I have no real desire to live. Most are located either in the Northeast or in California, two of the most expensive places to live and work. This makes the decision pretty tough.
Also, since I’m looking to apply to multiple schools, I’m going to have to pay multiple application fees. This wouldn’t be so bad except for the fees being outrageously high. Many of the schools have application fees over $200. Some might say it’s quite a racket.
I’m also supposed to send an official GMAT score to the schools to which I’m applying. Since I wasn’t sure to which schools I wanted to apply at the time I took the test, I have to request additional score reports. Not surprisingly, these are also quite expensive. It costs $28 apiece for each school I want to send it to.
So far my first choice of school is the University of Texas at Austin. I’m also considering the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), The Ohio State University, the University of North Carolina and a couple of others. I’m hoping that all of this will eventually pay off because it’s already stressful and also getting quite expensive.

We all wish that we had our finances in order, but unfortunately that’s not always the case. Many people find themselves in a situation where they have less than perfect credit. There are also a lot of different offers that are directed at those with sub par credit ratings. Bad Credit Offers is a website that compiles many of the different offers so that you can compare them and choose the options that are best for you. They have sections for home loans, credit cards, auto loans and others. So if you find yourself in this situation and are wanting to rebuild your credit, take a look at what they have to offer.

I’m trying something new here on this blog. It’s an ad network that provides contextually relevant ads. You’ll notice that different words and phrases will be linked and double-underlined. Supposedly it will take about two weeks or so to accurately “learn” the site and optimize itself. I’m testing this out as a possible revenue source that will help keep this blog up and running. Hopefully it won’t be too distracting. Feel free to let me know what you think, be it positive or negative, but I’ve decided to try it out for a while.

Let me start by saying that there is nothing good on regular TV on a Saturday morning. I don’t have cable so that limits my options, but there’s pretty much only programming for kids. This being said, I happened to see something that really got me thinking.
There was a commercial that was advertising a new Barbie doll. I don’t know what the specific doll was called, but it was something like Shopper Barbie. It was basically a fashion barbie where you could pretend like you were actually buying the clothes. It comes with a credit card and a register. This may seem like it’s just another toy, but what was shocking was what they were saying about it.
The commercial was showing how the register talked and said the prices of what was being purchased. You could then swipe your credit card. They then said that you will never run out of money. I actually couldn’t believe it when I heard it. This sort of thing is what’s being taught to our children. You can buy whatever you want and you don’t have to worry about money cause you’ll never run out of it. We need to be careful what types of things we teach our children and what we allow them to believe. Take this however you want, but if you don’t teach your children about finances, they’ll learn it somewhere. And you may not like what’s being taught.

Recently I’ve been thinking about all the information that I’ve got on my computer and what would happen if something were to happen to it. Interestingly enough, there is a service that’s aimed at just this need. Anytime@Anywhere online backup is a way for people to have all of their data backed up at a remote location. For those of you that have been trying to think of an organized way to back up your data, this website may be just the thing you’ve been looking for.
