Random News: Record Breaking Bonds

It’s official now… Barry Bonds now hold the record for the most home runs. Last night he hit number 756 to pass Hank Aaron and become number one on the all-time home run list. While many have varying opinions of the slugger and his record, it’s still a great accomplishment. So, take it for what it’s worth.

In other news

Apparently there is a new “richest man in the world” these days in Carlos Slim. He’s a Mexico billionaire that has amassed a $59 billion fortune. Many attribute it to the apparent monopolies he’s running, but either way, the guy’s rich.

McDonald’s, or MacDo as I call it, has also been making headlines recently. Earlier this week they announced that they’re selling off Boston Market which serves chicken and sides. More interesting though is the recent study that was done showing that kids prefer food in McDonald’s packaging. They basically gave kids the same exact food wrapped either in McDonald’s packaging or in ordinary packaging. Interesting result, but you have to wonder if this type of result would only happen with kids.
