A figure has now been put on the cost of raising children. Apparently the average is about $290,000 over 17 years. Obviously, your actual situation will vary widely since there are those that skew the average (private school tuition). Whatever your thoughts on this are, you’re probably at least glad that your parents weren’t deterred by this.

Here’s more proof that people will buy almost anything. A smudge of driveway sealant was sold for more than $1500 on eBay. A contractor will remove the section of concrete with the smudge in order to ship it. Simply astonishing.

It was just another day at the auto parts store in Dekalb, Illinois until a Monster Truck ripped into a crowd of spectators. Fortunately no one was seriously injured, but it just goes to show… I don’t know what it shows, but it was an interesting story.
