Turn Thoughts and Determination into Action
Posted on Jun 05, 2007 under Success and Motivation |Here’s an interesting thought that I came across recently:
5 frogs were sitting on a log. Four of them decided to jump off. How many are left?
The answer is five. This may seem strange to some, but there is a very valuable lesson in this. It is a call to action. We all have hopes and dreams; we have even sometimes made up our minds to do something. It’s important that we actually take that final step and take action according to what we’ve decided.
There may be fear of failure or loss. Possibly there’s a feeling of inadequacy. We need to overcome these feelings and step outside our comfort zones. We need to challenge ourselves to be better and to succeed. Decide what you’re going to do and then actually go do it.
So many people have read about the advantages and disadvantages of Roth IRAs or Traditional IRAs, but have you actually gone out and set one up. How long are you going to wait, and how much more do you think you need to learn about it. I believe in learning by doing.
If you haven’t already, how long are you going to wait to set up a money market account to keep your short term savings even though you know it’s a good idea? Take action and set up an account at ING Directtoday. You’ll figure out how it works by going through the process. If you have any questions, I’ll be glad to help you out.
I could give numerous examples, but the point is that it’s not enough just to know what you should be doing. Success comes by doing something about it.
